How to photograph and measure a space for a quote

Take one photo

Stand far enough back to show the whole wall and the space around it.

• Include nearby doors and windows
• Show sockets, switches, columns and skirting
• Leave existing furniture in view when it affects the walkway

Measure the main dimensions

Share the approximate width, height and depth available.

• Measure the full wall or ledge, not only the empty gap
• Note the distance to doors, curtains and walkways
• For a desk, include the depth needed for screens and chair movement
